Andersen donates to tornado relief

BAYPORT — The Andersen Corporate Foundation recently announced it is donating $25,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief to help those affected by the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.

“While an act of nature like a tornado can do its damage in mere minutes, rebuilding and recovery can take months and years,” said Keith Olson, president of the Andersen Corporate Foundation. “It’s our hope that this donation will help speed that process, and help the poeple and communities affected in Oklahoma rebuild.”

Over the past decade, the Andersen Corporate Foundation has contributed nearly $2.5 million to aid disaster recovery efforts for victims of the Red River Valley flooding, Hurrianes Sandy, Katrina and Rita, tornadoes in Joplin, Mo., and Tuscaloosa, Ala., and the Haiti earthquake.
