The Minnesota and Wisconsin transportation departments host a St. Croix Crossing groundbreaking ceremony from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Stillwater’s Lowell Park.
The public is invited to the ceremony, which will feature comments from elected officials and the ceremonial groundbreaking for the four-year bridge project. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be at The Water Street Inn.

One day after the groundbreaking ceremony, MnDOT begins work along an 8-mile stretch of Minnesota 36 from Minnesota 120 in North St. Paul to just east of Washington Avenue in Oak Park Heights.
This project includes minor road grading and resurfacing, revising signal timing and adding traffic management signs. Motorists will encounter non-rush hour lane restrictions on MN 36 during this project, which is expected to finish in late August.
