Patricia C. Doten, 87, of Roseville, passed away at Eagle Crest Memory Care (part of Presbyterian Homes) on May 18, 2013. She was born in Abeline, Kan., on Nov. 20, 1925. Her family lived in a number of places in Kansas, Colorado and Idaho and moved to Minnesota in 1938. She was a graduate of Minneapolis Central High School and later attended Carlton College. She married Robert Doten, “a cute sailor on leave.” Patty retired from a successful real estate career in 1990, and then became active in community affairs. She served on several boards and her extensive volunteer work included helping establish Plymouth Creek Center and volunteering with the Care and Share Program. Patty was preceded in death by Bob Doten, and her son, Scott. She is survived by two daughters Sherrie Dewey (John) of Edina and Stacy Keller (David) of Stillwater; sister, Rosalie Pratt (Alan) of Bernardston, Mass.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial service to follow at a later date. Arrangements by Roseville Memorial Chapel. Interment is at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Plymouth Creek Center Senior’s Program and Eagle Crest of Presbyterian Homes.
