Group asks Valley to help ‘Stamp Out Hunger’

The United Way of Washington County-East, St. Croix Valley AFL-CIO Community Services and the National Association of Letter Carriers encourage St. Croix Valley residents to participate in the 21st annual NALC Food Drive Saturday.

The NACL “Stamp Out Hunger” effort is the nation’s largest one-day food drive. Letter carriers will collect non-perishable food donations along their routes Saturday for delivery to local food shelves.

Those interested in participating should put their food donations in the blue bags letter carriers left in mailboxes earlier this week by the mailbox Saturday before mail is delivered. Letter carriers will deliver all food collected in the St. Croix Valley to Valley Outreach for distribution to those in need in our community.
