Fashion show benefits Clothing Closet

Tickets are now available for ‘A New Dawn’ Spring Fashion Showcase, sponsored by St. Croix Valley merchants to raise funds for the Valley Outreach Clothing Closet that provides free clothing to Valley families in need.

The show will be emceed by WCCO-Ch. 4 meteorologist Chris Shaffer from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11 at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center.

“We are so grateful to the many valley businesses that are donating their time and talents to support the clients of the Valley Outreach Clothing Closet through this great style show” said Dana Massopust, Clothing Closet director. “Each month the demand for clothing increases and we see more and more new families that need assistance.”

Tickets are $40 and include brunch, fashion show, cash bar and raffles for a weekend escape, a home décor package, beauty services and more. The event features fashions and accessories from Sash, Urban Violet Boutique, Premier Fashion Jewelry, La Rue Marche, Elodie Boutique, Jockey Person to Person, Bella Luce Boutique, Ann Myers Cabi Consultant, Baglio’s of Afton and Silpada Jewelry. Event hair is styled by A’salonna.

The Clothing Closet, formerly known as Dawn’s Closet, provides clothing and accessories free of charge to men, women and children of all ages and all sizes in need who live in Washington County and surrounding border communities in eastern Ramsey County and western Wisconsin. Currently, more than 400 families are served by the Clothing Closet each month.
