New artist at Lakeview

Lakeview Hospital’s Art Gallery will showcase the artwork of artist Lynn Baur through May 16.

“I’m primarily a water media painter, specializing in nature-related images and themes.” Baur said. “Even when my work is abstract I use colors and forms from the natural world. I recently learned a new method of painted on silk developed by Susan Louise Moyer, in which the silk and dyes are treated so that they behave very much like watercolor on paper. I’m very excited about the combination of wet-in-wet effects, coupled with fine detail, vibrant color and the lovely, lustrous surface of the silk.”

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information about Lynne Baur’s are work visit
