Stillwater wrestling Texas Hold ’Em Tournament set for May 4

The Stillwater Area High School Wrestling Booster Club is hosting its 2nd Annual Texas Hold ’Em Tournament at the Stillwater VFW in Oak Park Heights on Saturday, May 4. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Stillwater area youth wrestling program. A $50 donation provides entry into the event, which includes a seat for the Texas Hold ’Em Tournament, appetizers and access to the cash bar.

Reservations, which are required and needed by April 30 to reserve your spot, can be made by contacting Tanya Ballantyne at 651-206-0509 or Julie Dauffenbach at 651-295-7514. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m., with the poker starting at 7 p.m. (late comers will be blinded in).

Dates set for Pony football camps

The Pony High School Camp for Stillwater football players entering grades 10-12 will be held Tuesday, June 11-Thursday, June 13 at Stillwater Area High School. Sessions for the offensive and defensive installation camp will be conducted from noon-2:30 p.m. Cost is $40, which includes a shirt. Registration is available through Community Education.

l The Ponies Youth Football Camp for Stillwater football players entering grades 3-6 will take place Monday, July 29-Friday, Aug. 2 at SAHS under the direction of Ponies football coach Beau LaBore and various varsity football players. Cost is $60 and sessions will be held from noon-2 p.m.

l The Pony Junior High Camp, which is for players entering grades 7-9, will be held Monday, July 29-Thursday, Aug. 1 from 5-7 p.m. The junior high camp will focus on implementing the offense and defense for the junior high teams. Cost for the camp is $50 and includes a shirt. Players can sign up through Community Education.
