Gary Leo Knefelkamp, 67, of Houlton, Wis., died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Stillwater, the son of Norman and Kathleen (Engler) Knefelkamp. He grew up in Stillwater until the family moved to Houlton when Gary was in the sixth grade. He then attended and graduated in 1963 from Hudson High School. While in high school, Gary lettered in both wrestling and football. On Sept. 3, 1966, he married Judith Ann Biever in Cashton, Wis. In 1972 Gary earned a B. S. in Agriculture from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He was employed at Andersen Windows from 1973 until his retirement in 2000. Gary was a member of the Hudson Rod & Gun Club and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judy of Houlton; children Kelly (Jay) Falk of North Branch, Minn., Staci (Darren) Solfest of Houlton, and Andrew (Jennifer) Knefelkamp of Somerset, Wis.; grandchildren, Gregor and Alyssa Falk, Morgan and Mason Solfest, and Ashley and Adam Knefelkamp; parents Norman and Kathleen Knefelkamp of Houlton; sister Barbara (Shawn) McConaughey of Roberts, Wis.; brother Kenneth (Michelle) Knefelkamp of Houlton, and many other relatives and friends.
