Patrick J. Carriveau

Patrick J. Carriveau, 87, of Stillwater, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013. Pat is survived by his two daughters, Ann Francois (Tom Shiah), and Joan Nelson (Jay); son-in-law, Carl; three grandchildren, Pamela, Jacques, and Milisa; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; daughter Linda, and two brothers John and Bill.

A World War II Navy aviation radioman veteran, he flew in the SBD planes from 1944-1946. For more than 60 years, he lived and worked in Withrow, Minn., for the railroad. Pat played saxophone and clarinet in the Teddy Daniels Band. He enjoyed jazz and big band music, woodworking, crossword puzzles, his family and friends.

Pat was a gentle man who will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at The Church of St. Michael, 611 South Third St in Stillwater, MN 55082.  Visitation is one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment is at Fairview Cemetery. A lLuncheon follows at the church.

    sorry to hear of your loss Mom passed on March 19 so we know what your going through. Take care. your Aunt Nancys memorial is set for June 8th at Stillwater Park where hooleys used to be 1:00 to 4:00

    Of all my uncles (Pat was my mom’s cousin) I revered him as one of the kindest and most liked. I stopped at his house to visit when he was packing to move to Montevideo and enjoyed every moment. He’ll be missed so much….
