The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce celebrated the re-location of Beverly’s Curiosity Shoppe with a March 26 ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The business was previously located at 5898 Omaha Ave. in Oak Park Heights and recently moved Feb. 19 to 1754 Market Drive.

Beverly’s Curiosity Shoppe has been open since 2011. Store owner Beverly Bartz describes her business as a “cute little store, run by friendly people.” The store offers a variety of new and used merchandise at reasonable prices. Items include furniture, collectibles, housewares, electronics, tools, toys and assorted treasures.
“We have something for everyone” Bartz said, “We carry things that you can’t find anywhere else!”

Bartz buys the majority of her inventory by bidding on lockers at local storage auctions. It’s an activity she calls “just like Christmas.”

“You never know what you will get when you’re bidding,” she said. “Our inventory is constantly changing, and that’s how we keep our prices low.”

Beverly’s Curiosity Shoppe offers help with with estate clean outs, and also purchases items outright or for consignment. The business is constantly filled with re-purposed items.

“If you are looking for something specifically and don’t see it in my store let know and I will find it for you,” Bartz said. “It’s my hobby.”

Since re-locating, Beverly’s Curiosity Shoppe has seen business increase. In celebration of her move, Beverly’s Curiosity Shoppe hosts an open house Saturday. Bartz invites the public to see her store and meet her staff. Refreshments will be provided.
