Kid’s dental clinic to use WIC space at FL service center

FOREST LAKE — The Children’s Dental Clinic, which serves uninsured and underinsured children and pregnant women, will use space in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) clinic in the Headwaters Service Center in Forest Lake under a space-sharing agreement approved Tuesday by the Washington County Board of Commissioners.

The dental clinic has been providing services one day a month at the county’s Cottage Grove Service Center since 2009. The clinic handles scheduling, billing and patient-care logistics and the county promotes the service and provides space.

Children’s Dental Service will replicate its Cottage Grove operation in Forest Lake service center’s WIC space on a trial basis. The service will staff the Forest Lake office each month if there is enough demand.
