Ronsberg was an all-section honoree and received all-state honorable mention recognition and will join teammates Thalia Anderson and Natalie Jantschek in serving as captains for the 2013-14 team.

“Sidnee leads by example every day in the gym,” Swenson said. “She’s a very hard worker, but she also takes the time to help her teammates, with suggestions and advice on how to improve.”

Senior Kylie Wittl and junior Lillyan Pan, who advanced to state for the Ponies as individuals, received all-conference honors while also joining Ronsberg, Jantschek and Sami Matschi in receiving all-section honors. Wittl received all-state honors while Alex Holmberg, Jantschek, Matschi, Pan, Ronsberg and Lauren Thole earned all-state honorable mention recognition. Pan, Taylor Intihar, Haley Tholen and Maggie Germundson were all-section academic recipients for the Ponies.

Annie Seiler was chosen the Most Improved Gymnast for Stillwater, which finished with an 8-1 record to place second in the Suburban East Conference behind eventual state champion Roseville. Stillwater placed second in the Section 4AA meet.

“Although we didn’t have the end we had hoped for, finishing second in our section, we were very proud of the many accomplishments the girls had as individuals and as a team,” Swenson said. “We’re excited to look ahead to next season, with so many returning gymnasts and so many young gymnasts who are eager to improve.”

Stillwater was also a team academic Golf Award recipient with a GPA of 3.856.

“We have always been equally proud of our girls’ success in the classroom as on the gym floor,” Swenson said.
