‘Townie Tuesdays’ event rescheduled for March 26

The Stillwater Ponies Touchdown Club is the featured St. Croix Valley charity for next week’s “Townie Tuesdays” event at the Lift Bridge Brewery Co. Taproom, which is located at 1900 Tower Drive West in Stillwater. This event was originally scheduled for March 5, but postponed because of winter storms.

Thrift Store Sonata will provide music for the event, which includes head coach Beau LaBore and members of the Stillwater football coaching staff as guest beertenders. Food from QuickFire Pizza will also be available. The PTC will receive a portion of each beer sold, plus tips from the beertenders. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 from 6-9 p.m.


Oak Glen Ladies League spring meeting coming up

The Oak Glen Golf Course Ladies’ 18-Hole Golf League is inviting interested women to join the league for the 2013 season. For information or registration, people can attend the annual spring meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at Oak Glen Golf Course (1599 McKusick Road, Stillwater, MN) at 6 p.m.

The league — you need not be an Oak Glen member to join — plays every Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start. Play begins May 7 and ends Sept. 10.

The league membership fee for the season is $55 on or before April 9 and $65 after that date. A $29 handicap fee is paid directly to Oak Glen, but this can also be paid via a Patron Card, Players Card or Season Pass (prices are available at Weekly green fees are $25 for walkers or $40 with a cart (subtract $5 if you have an Oak Glen Players Card).
