Welcome spring’s arrival with the Washington County Historical Society and Northern Vineyards Winery when the Historical Society hosts a wine-tasting fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. April 7.

Guests can sample a wide variety of different wines from reds to whites and sweet to dry from Northern Vineyards Winery’s impressive collection. Experts will pair each wine with gourmet cheeses and chocolates and will explain why these matches work.
A silent auction showcasing area businesses will also be held.

The wine tasting will be held at Northern Vineyards Winery, 223 North Main St. in Stillwater, granting attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the oldest winery in Minnesota.

Tickets cost $20 and are sold in advance  atwchsmn.org and by telephone. The funds raised from this event beneft a number of essential Historical Society functions including artifact care and the planned Washington County Heritage Center.
