SCPA: Maranatha eliminates Lions

 

Jeremiah and Isaiah Hanson combined for 43 points to help No. 1-ranked Maranatha Christian Academy to a 73-54 victory over St. Croix Preparatory Academy in Tuesday’s Section 4A semifinal game at Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove.

The top-seeded Mustangs (28-1) advance to face West Lutheran in the finals on Friday.

Jakob Schollmeier scored 16 points to lead the Lions, who finished the season with a 23-6 record.

Jakob Schollmeier scored 23 points to lead four Lions in double figures as St. Croix Preparatory Academy defeated Metro Tech Career Academy 88-73 in Saturday’s Section 4A quarterfinal victory.

Michael Gutierrez added 17 points for St. Croix Prep (22-6).
