Home show expands kids’ activities

More kid-related activities will be part of this year’s Stillwater Home and Garden Show, officials with the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce announced.

Show organizers have teamed with Mathnasium of Stillwater and PartyOn Stillwater to offer an assortment of fun family activities. The fourth annual free show is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 23 at Rutherford Elementery School in Stillwater.

Special guest at this year’s show is well-known German Shepherd Rin Tin Tin. The famous canine will perform shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and be on location at the show throughout the day.

Mathnasium of Stillwater highlights their specialized math tutoring services with a miniature math arcade zone were guests can play math-related games and activities in exchange for raffle tokens. Prizes including t-shirts, goodie bags and educational kits will be awarded and one lucky person can win a Kindle Fire.

PartyOn Stillwater features face painting, jump rope contests, bean bag toss and a lucky sucker game. PartyOn Stillwater also teamed with Segway, LLC, to offer free Segway demonstrations.

Hungry visitors to the show can stop by either Chicago Dogs or Joseph’s Family Restaurant concession stands for hot dogs, mini-donuts and pie.

The Home and Garden show features more than 80 exhibitors featuring a variety of products to get guests thinking spring.
