The Washington County Board of Commissioners Tuesday approved an mutual aid agreement between the county Sheriff’s Office and the corrections officers at the Minnesota Department of Corrections facility in Oak Park Heights.

The officers would assist one another in emergencies, with each jurisdiction providing its services without charge during the first 24 hours of an emergency. After the first 24 hours, the requesting agency would reimburse the responding agency for the actual costs of assistance.
