WOODBURY — The Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Minnesota Home Ownership Association present a mortgage foreclosure prevention workshop from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 12 at the R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury.
The two groups, in partnership with the library, will present information on handling foreclosure situations. The workshop is for anyone who wants to ask questions and get advice from trained foreclosure prevention counselors.
Anyone behind on a mortgage, worried about keeping up with mortgage payments and wants to know more about the foreclosure process can attend. Those who are worried about foreclosure should seek help immediately. Waiting might limit the options.
The workshops are open houses and no pre-registration is required. The session includes a 45-minute presentation summarizing the foreclosure process. Participants also have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a foreclosure prevention counselor. It will help the counselor to respond to any concerns if participants bring any communication received from a lender or loan servicer; proof of income (e.g., recent pay stub), and a copy of a mortgage statement.
The library is at 8595 Central Park Place in Woodbury.
