SCPA: Lions win conference title; boys extend winning streak

 

The St. Croix Preparatory Academy girls’ basketball team closed out the regular season with a 37-32 victory over Minnesota Transitions on Friday to finish undefeated in Minnesota Charter School Conference play.

Lita Schollmeier finished with 20 points to lead the Lions (8-0 MCSC, 15-9), who received the No. 4 seed and will host FAIR in the Section 4A tournament on Thursday. Game time is 7 p.m.

Jakob Schollmeier led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points as St. Croix Preparatory Academy pulled away for a 64-43 nonconference boys’ basketball victory over New Life Academy on Tuesday night. Michael Gutierrez added 13 points for the Lions (9-0 MCSC, 20-5).
