Math team places fourth

Members from the Oak-Land Junior High School math team captured fourth place last weekend at a Mathcounts Competition held at Century College in White Bear Lake. Team members are coach and Stillwater Area High School senior Andy Ylitalo, left, and OLJHS eighth-graders Kendra Anderson, Natalie Zinn and Kyra Anderson and seventh-grader Sophie Oubaha. Each team member was invited to participate by their math teachers and the Oak-Land Principal Andy Fields. The team practiced Fridays after school at OLJHS since the fall.
