Girls hockey: Stillwater falls short against Raiders

University of Minnesota recruit Katie Flug scored two goals and assisted on another to help send Roseville to a 4-1 Suburban East Conference girls’ hockey victory over Stillwater on Saturday at the St. Croix Valley Rec Center.

Following a scoreless opening period, Flug scored twice and Sarah Knowlton added another goal during a two-minute stretch in the second as the sixth-ranked Raiders (6-2-0 SEC, 9-2-0) grabbed a 3-0 lead.

Sara Bustad answered with a goal late in the second period to trim the deficit to 3-1, but the Raiders tacked on another goal in the third period, this one from Maddie Schlossmocher at 9:46.

Allison Pasiuk finished with 26 saves in goal for the Ponies (5-3-0, 6-5-1), who were outshot 30-16 in the game.
