‘Best Burger in the Valley’ contest benefits Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

It’s back burger lovers.

The Fourth Annual “Best Burger in the Valley” competition rings in 2013 in Stillwater, with proceeds from this friendly contest benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation toward life-saving research and education and care programs in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

The genetic, life-threatening disease currently affects more than 30,000 young adults and children in the U.S. There is no cure for cystic fibrosis.

Hamburger lovers can help ‘Add Tomorrows’ for those living with cystic fibrosis by purchasing a “Best Burger in the Valley” card. The seven restaurants participating in this year’s competition include: Reve 324, Brine’s Restaurant and Bar, Smalley’s Caribbean Barbeque, Water Street Inn, Leo’s Grill and Malt Shop, River Oasis Café, and Rafters Food & Spirits.

The competition begins Tuesday and runs through March 28. Participants are welcome to use their “Best Burger Cards” to redeem a burger at each participating restaurant anytime Monday through Thursday. “Best Burger Cards” are $20 and sold at four different locations off of Main Street, including KLBB Radio, Reve 324, Trade Winds Spice Co. and Leo’s Grille and Malt Shop.

Participants vote for their favorite burger using the ballot number on the back of their Best Burger card by visiting www.BestBurgerintheValley.org, or by mailing the card to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Attn: Ann Westerhaus, 8011 34th Ave. S, Suite 116, Bloomington MN, 55425. Additional donations are accepted. Voting ends April 15, and the winner is announced in late April, so make sure to get your vote in for the best burger before then.
