The St Croix River Valley’s “occasional jazz club” presents “A New Year’s Eve Celebration of Hope”Dec. 31at Outing Lodge, 11661 Myeron Road North, Stillwater.

“The ‘Celebration of Hope’ theme is a form of prayer that 2013 be a year of faith, hope and love, not to mention joy, peace, good health … all things for which to be hopeful,” said Suzi Mueller, Club@producer and Beacon Hill Jazz Ensemble founder and singer who now calls the St Croix River Valley home.
“We’re looking forward to an uplifting evening of good music, food and company,” she said, “with a special salute to the important, hopeful work of three Twin Cities-based organizations. I can’t think of a better way to start off a new year than hopeful.”
The organizations chosen for the salute are;
Hope Academy; Christian education for inner-city youth in Minneapolis. (www.hopeschool.org ) HOPE Adoption + Family Services in Oak Park Heights (www.hopeadoptionservices.org/), and Freeset, a fair trade business offering employment to women trapped in Kolkata’s sex trade, and their non-profit business consulting partner, Freedom Initiatives, offering hope to those living under severe social and economic oppression. The2012 New Year’s Eve “Celebration of Hope” is 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31. Reserved tickets are $50, which includes dessert bar and champagne toast. Tickets at the door are $60.
