Minnesota Masonic Charities (MMC) announced 2013 Scholarship Opportunities. The MMC’s grants and programs support health care, medical research, social services and education.
Scholarships are awarded to those who have demonstrated academic and personal achievement and exemplified the values of Masonry. They provide an annual average of $350,000 in scholarships to Minnesota high school graduates.
The MMC offers three types of scholarships: Signature, Legacy and Heritage, in addition to matching funds awarded by local community lodges or chapter that offer their own scholarship programs.
The scholarships are merit-based and made available on an equal-opportunity basis. Scholarship categories are determined by the applicant’s GPA ranging from 3.8 and above for the signature and legacy, to 3.9 to 3.79 for Heritage. Scholarships are renewable based on continuing excellence in college and can be as high as $5,000 per year and up to $20,000 for up to four years in the case of a signature scholarship.

13th Annual Minnesota Association of Townships
The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) is offering up to four $1,000 scholarships to current juniors.
The scholarships are available to those currently enrolled in 11th grade attending public, private, parochial or home schools who are planning on going to college or vocational school. Relatives and grandchildren of MAT members are not eligible for this program.

What type of local ordinances could be helpful in combating invasive species and what role should township residents play in enacting and funding local ordinances?

All applications must be submitted in one envelope to Townships Scholarship Program P.O. Box 267, St. Michael, MN 55376 by May 1, 2013. Decisions will be made by Oct. 1, 2013. Scholarships will be received when proof of enrollment is procured.
