Wreaths honor the fallen

Kathy Lohmer, R-Lake Elmo, with an honorary wreath from Wreaths across America, a non-profit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to all 50 states. Lohmer encourages area residents to get involved by sponsoring a wreath or placing wreaths Saturday. “Over 200,000 wreaths will be placed on veterans’ tombstones this Saturday as a way to honor and respect those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our great country,” Lohmer said.
