Johns joins local Coldwell office

Missy Johns has joined the staff of the Coldwell Banker Burnett Stillwater office.

The Coldwell Banker Burnet Stillwater office is pleased to announce and welcome Missy Johns as a new realtor in their office.

Johns is a fifth-generation Stillwater native and a 1990 Stillwater High School graduate. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., in 1994 and has spent the past 17 years of her career in various financial services industry leadership roles.

Johns is married to Derek, a 1992 Gustavus Adolphus graduate, and they have three daughters.

 Grants target farmers, ag busineses

ST. PAUL — Minnesota agricultural producers and processors can apply for grants to implement value added projects to their operations through the state Department of Agriculture’s AGRI Value Added Grant Program.

A total of $700,000 in funds are available through the Agricultural Growth, Research and Innovation Program (AGRI), established by the legislature to advance Minnesota’s agricultural and renewable energy industries.

The grants are distributed in two rounds. Round one applications must be received by the MDA no later than 4 p.m. on Dec. 31. Round two applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. on March 1, 2013. Proposals can be delivered by mail, in person or by email.
