Local business owners joined Lake Elmo Inn owners John and Chris Schiltz at an Aug. 28 ribbon-cutting ceremony at the remodeled restaurant sponsored by the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.

The Lake Elmo Inn opened its doors 29 years ago and this July experienced a re-birth. Five years ago, after surveying customers about the menu, and look and feel of the restaurant, the Schiltzs decided this year remodel the restaurant and make changes to the menu.

Originally built in the 1920s for smaller sized groups, the bar and dining spaces were updating with Andersen stained glass windows, Brazilian hardwood floors, an updated color scheme and new chandeliers.

The Lake Elmo Inn has always been known for their delicious food, and they still offer many of their favorites along with their award-winning Sunday brunch and nightly specials.

Lake Elmo Inn is located at 3442 Lake Elmo Ave. North in Lake Elmo. Visit www.lakeelmoinn.com or call 651-777-8495 for information.
