Santa visits Victorian Christmas event in Stillwater
20th annual weekend sale, fundraiser set for Nov. 17-18
Visitors to the 20th annual Victorian Christmas at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater Nov. 17-18 will have two days of fun shopping and visiting with vendors of arts, high quality crafts and treats.
Costumed volunteers, live music, festive holiday decorations, and a Tea Room help make this the place to start the holiday season. A visit from Santa Claus and a holiday exhibit round out the weekend.
Santa stops at the courthouse from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 17, and noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 18. Bring your camera and get started on holiday cards and photos. Santa will greet guests and visit with good boys and girls to hear their holiday wishes in the vault exhibit area.
An exhibit on the history of the Christmas at the Courthouse event and the restoration projects it has funded will also be featured.
The Victorian Christmas at the Historic Courthouse is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18. Admission is $3.
The Preview Event is 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 16, and costs $25 in advance or $30 at the door. This event includes appetizers, desserts, champagne, craft beer and sparkling cider donated by area caterers and brewers, including The Grand, Lake Elmo Inn, Brine’s Market, Kane’s Catering, Water Street Inn, Lift Bridge Brewery, and River Valley Catering.
Glassware is provided by Action Rental of Stillwater. George Siegfried Construction Co., Oertel Architects, Steve Schultz — Lee F. Murphy Insurance, Rose Floral and Rivertown Inn have donated door prizes.
