Helping hands

Four-year-old T.J. Lofgren of Lake Elmo cut the ribbon at Saturday’s opening ceremony at the Lake Elmo Public Library. joining in the ceremony were Library Board President Steve DeLapp, left, Lofgren, Mayor Dean Johnston, and Library Board Members Rosemary Meier and Marjorie Williams as Lofgren’s brother, Skylar looks on. T.J. Lofgren was selected to cut the ribbon to represent the city’s future. About 150 people attended the ceremony, followed by a reception and open house with music by pianist Butch Thompson.
