The holidays are just around the corner and Community Thread’s Holiday Bureau registration begins in the next couple of weeks.
“We’re expecting the demand to be high as usual,” said Holiday Bureau Coordinator Elena Ballam. “Even with better economic times last year, we served 100 people more last year than the year before.”
For more than 40 years, the Holiday Bureau has provided individually selected gifts and a holiday meal for families in need, low-income seniors and people with disabilities. Local sponsors, donors and businesses help support program to meet the community’s needs.
Individuals interested in signing for the Holiday Bureau can in person at Community Thread from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Nov. 10, 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 13 and Nov. 15. Registration is place at Orleans Street West in Stillwater.
