Local business owners joined Peaceful Retreat Massage & Wellness Center owner Jennifer Marty and her colleagues at a Sept. 18 ribbon cutting for the relocated business sponsored by The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.

Peaceful Retreat offers an eclectic mix of multiple health and wellness disciplines including Swedish and deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, energy therapy, pregnancy massage, couples massage, hot stone massage and more. The five-women have a unified vision — to combine their gifts and education for the greater good of the client and community.

Peaceful Retreat was started in April 2011 when Marty teamed up with two St. Croix Center of the Healing Arts alums — Mary Ann Hartmon and Elizabeth Hansen.

“The warm, compassionate and joyful energy we held together even as a group back then — was the sole inspiring reason for making this future collaboration a must-have reality, and therefore an absolute dream come true for me” Marty said.

After energy therapist Jody Tschida and fellow St. Croix Center colleague Therese Green to their group, Marty searched for a location to better fit their needs and their clientele.  After a two-year search, Peaceful Retreat found its ideal home in downtown Stillwater. The atmosphere at their new location within the Chestnut Building is quiet, spacious and inviting

“With us now being within a short walking distance to the St. Croix River, as well as all downtown restaurants, shops and activities — it makes it that much easier to accommodate those Clients of ours looking to celebrate an anniversary getaway downtown.  This alone was one of our biggest factors for selecting this new office location,” Marty said.

Peaceful Retreat Massage & Wellness Center is at 200 Chestnut Street East, Suite 203 in downtown Stillwater. Join them for the “Chestnut Building Open House” from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 for $1 per minute chair massages, door prizes and more.  For more information visit www.PeacefulRetreatMassage.Net or call 651-439-0557.
