Borash re-appointed to watershed board
Dale Borash of West Lakeland Township was re-appointed to the Valley Branch Watershed District Board of Managers by the Washington County Board of Commissioners Tuesday.
Commissioner Gary Kriesel recommended Borash’s re-appointment to a term that expires Nov. 13, 2015.
Christensen joins Eckberg Lammers
Rebecca S. Christensen has joined the Eckberg, Lammers, Briggs, Wolff & Vierling, PLLP, law firm’s business and finance group and will practice out of Eckberg Lammers’ Stillwater office, company officials announced.
Christensen was a tax preparer before becoming an attorney and continues to offer tax preparation services to clients throughout the U.S. and specializes in helping clients comply with state and federal taxing authorities.
“I’ve been able to take my expertise and experience in taxation and apply it to my legal practice,” Christensen said. “I look forward to incorporating that knowledge into my practice with Eckberg Lammers, and enhance and expand the services we offer our individual and business clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin.”
LSS names Thueson VP, CFO
Patrick Thueson of Stillwater was recently named vice president and chief financial officer of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, the largest human service group in the state.
Thueson has served as LSS senior director of financial operations since 2007, overseeing budgeting and forecasting. In his new position, he will be responsible for finance, accounting and information technology.
Prior to joining LSS, Thueson held various leadership positions in finance and operations with Coca Cola. He also served as controller with Greater Twin Cities United Way and chief financial officer for the American Red Cross.
Thueson has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas. He serves as chairman of the St. Croix Catholic School Board in Stillwater and participates in various volunteer activities through his church.
Thueson and his wife, Luba, have three children, Sam, Nina and Bobby.
Charpentier named to NLA board
OAK PARK HEIGHTS — Dave Charpentier of Midwest Lumber Minnesota, Inc., was recently elected as associate director of the Northwestern Lumber Association board of directors.
Charpentier brings 23 years of experience in the lumber and building material industry to the NLA board. The trade group is based in Minneapolis and represents 725 independent lumber and building material retailers and suppliers in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Charpentier is also active at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale and assists with the Stillwater Girls Hockey Association. He and his wife, Jane, have four daughters, Lauren, Emily, Tori and Grace.
