Prisoner reportedly head butts, bites corrections officers

BAYPORT — A Minnesota Correctional Facility-Stillwater prisoner faces three counts of assault against correctional officers after striking and biting offers attempting to search prisoner

The prisoner, identified as Dietrich Eugen Williams, allegedly was argumentative and refused to be pat-searched during a search of his cell by two correctional officers and a correctional sergeant.

According to reports, as the officers attempted to detain Williams, he allegedly head-butted one of the officers and bit the leg of another officer, although he did not break the skin.

Williams was previously convicted of felony domestic assault in November 2010 and fifth-degree assault in October 2010. Because of those previous assaults in the last three years, the assaults on the three correctional officers raises Williams latest charges felony status.
