StCroixSplash.org – powered by ArtReach St.Croix – is jumping into arts and culture throughout the St. Croix Valley. The new online events calendar is filling a void by bringing together regional arts, music events, festivals, and outdoor activities, together in one location. StCroixSplash will allow residents and visitors to connect more easily to the vibrant arts and culture scene in the St. Croix Valley.
“Before StCroixSplash was launched, residents and visitors to the Valley would need to visit several different sources to find out what was going on in the Valley during a given weekend. Now with StCroixSplash, a visitor to Stillwater will also be able to find out about a new gallery opening at The Phipps in Hudson or a new play debuting at Festival Theatre in St. Croix Falls,” said Heather Rutledge, executive director at ArtReach St. Croix.
StCroixSplash provides up-to-date, accurate event information for the St. Croix River valley from Hastings and Prescott, Wis., to St. Croix Falls, Wis., and Taylors Falls, Minn., and includes the cities of Stillwater, Hudson, Afton, and River Falls, Wis., among others. Hundred of events will be listed on StCroixSplash including theater, music, art exhibits, literary events, fairs, festivals, galas, nature and recreation events, sports and classes. The user-friendly, easy to navigate website will allow visitors to search by geography, date, free events, kid-friendly activities, and more.
In addition to events and venues, StCroixSplash includes an artist directory that will allow valley artists, musicians, actors and writers the opportunity to create a profile explaining their work and background as well as photographic and video samples of their work.
StCroixSplash.org is part of the Artsopolis Network, the gold standard for online cultural events calendars since its development in 2003 by the Arts Council of Silicon Valley. Cities and regions around the country, including Philadelphia, Austin and Colorado Springs, use the Artsopolis Network to create their own go-to listings for the entire community.
“We are very excited to have StCroixSplash join the Artsopolis Network of 40-plus communities. Given the St. Croix Valley region’s stunning natural beauty, StCroixSplash offers one of the most diverse arrays of both indoor and outdoor activities among our Network members. Part of our mission is to get people ‘off the couch’ and StCroixSplash offers so many ways to do just that,” said Jeff Trabucco, director of
network licensing at Artsopolis.
StCroixSplash was made possible by the generous support of our founding partners and partners: F. R. Bigelow Foundation, St. Croix Valley Foundation, Hugh J. Andersen Foundation, Stillwater/Oak Park Heights Convention and Visitors Bureau, Water Street Inn, The Ikuta-Schodde Family Foundation, The Phipps Center for the Arts, and St. Croix Festival Theatre.
