The Stillwater Police Department is investigating the theft of $550 worth of equipment from a construction trailer in the cul-de-sac on the 1100 block of Curve Crest Boulevard.
An initial complaint report states that the burglary occurred after 3:30 p.m. Monday. The trailer’s main entrance showed signs of forced entry. When police officers entered the trailer, they discovered that three Makita drills in blue cases, a drill charger and an Hewlett-Packard printer-fax machine were missing.
Other trailers at the site were checked but showed no signs of tampering or missing items. The victim did not believe he had the serial numbers of the stolen property.
At the time of the police report, there was no suspect or witness information available. The report states that police advised the victim to place a trail or deer camera in a tree overlooking the site if he expected the construction to be there much longer. The victim said he’d look into this.
The case was forwarded to investigations to check automated pawn for the missing drills.
