NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BROWN’S CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, September 10, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., the Brown’s Creek Watershed District Board of Managers will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the District’s proposed 2013 Budget and Levy.  The District’s proposed total budget for 2013 is $1,339,800, including grants, fees and levy funding sources.  The proposed tax levy is $140,150 for the General Fund and $626,023 for the Management Plan Project Fund for a total proposed levy of $776,173, a proposed 1.86% increase from 2012.    The public hearing will be held at the offices of the Washington Conservation District, 1380 West Frontage Road, Highway 36, Stillwater, Minnesota.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of West Lakeland has postponed the public hearing scheduled for Monday, September 10, 2012 to Monday, October 8, 2012. This public hearing will be at 7:00 o’clock p.m. at the regular town meeting place in the Oak-Land Junior High School, 820 Manning Avenue North, Lake Elmo, Mn. 55042.This public hearing will consider an application by Robert Ogeay, 1430 Neal Avenue N. for a variance to allow construction of a 30’ by 60’ accessory building set back 10 feet from the side property line (20’required by Code) and set closer to the road than the residence.

Copies of the proposed plan are on file with the Town Clerk for those interested in reviewing the proposed plan prior to the hearing. All interested persons will have a chance to be heard at the public hearing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids will be received by the Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (the “Authority”) until 9:00 a.m. September 21, 2012 at the offices of the Washington County HRA, 321 Broadway Avenue, St. Paul Park, MN 55071, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor and material for the Briar Pond Carpet Replacement project to be done at the above mentioned property located in Washington County, including, but not limited to, the following:

COMMON AREA CARPET REPLACEMENT

Bids are to be based on site inspection to verify scope and determine measurements and material quantities. Contact property management at 651-735-8000 to arrange for a visit.

Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and according to the contract documents and instructions prepared by the Washington County HRA. Interested parties should contact Bill Lightner via email at blightner@whchra.com to obtain bid documents.

The required submissions include a 5% bid bond or a cashier’s check in lieu of a bid bond, and the completed bid form. The bids shall be directed to Bill Lightner, Washington County HRA, 321 Broadway Avenue, St. Paul Park, MN 55071, and shall be securely sealed with the outside wrapper reading: “Briar Pond Carpet Replacement: Re-Bid project”.

Prior to execution of a construction contract, the successful contractor will be required to submit a payment & performance bond in an amount equivalent to 100% of the contract, proper worker’s compensation and general liability insurance coverage. Proposed date of construction contract letting is October 16, 2012.

The Washington County HRA reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the contract in the best interest of the Washington County HRA. The HRA encourage bids from minority and women owned businesses.

SEALED BIDS WILL BE OPENED ON 9:00 a.m. September 21, 2012 at the offices of the Washington County HRA, 321 Broadway Avenue, St. Paul Park, Minnesota 55071.
