The Stillwater Sunrise, Stillwater Noon and Lake Elmo Rotary clubs are seeking mentors to guide Stillwater High School Seniors during the upcoming school year who are part of the club’s STRIVE program, “Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education.”

STRIVE is a mentoring program for SAHS seniors that emphasizes preparing for post-graduation opportunities and responsibilities and working to improve grade point average. The program’s goal is to motivate interested SAHS seniors to discover their strengths and talents and boost their personal and academic achievement. Incentives are offered through scholarships for the students for their post-graduate education.

Mentors are the key to STRIVE’S success by sharing their experiences, knowledge and advice to help these students make the most of their senior year.

STRIVE meetings are approximately once a month from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Wednesdays at the high school. Lunch is provided. There is an occasional field trip, Rotary meetings and several service projects scheduled throughout the school year.
