Certified Transmission of Stillwater held their Second Annual Car Show Aug. 11 where area residents were encouraged to bring their custom, classic and unique cars to display.

Admission was free with 100 percent of event proceeds benefiting Valley Outreach.

“Essential items including food, clothing and shelter are important necessities and it’s humbling to realize that anyone could be in need of these things at any time” said Andy Lundsted, owner of Certified Transmission. “We at Certified Transmission are very proud to support a local organization that is able to provide these services to our community.”

Through free-will cash donations requested for door prize drawings at the event, Certified Transmission collected $400, which was given to Valley Outreach. Through partnerships with other groups like Second Harvest Heartland, Valley Outreach can purchase $10 worth of food for each dollar received.

The following businesses provided raffle prize items at the event, which helped make the donation possible: CarQuest Auto Parts, Century Power and Equipment, Famous Dave’s, Caribou Coffee, Family Cuts, Auto Zone, Joseph’s Restaurant, Napa Auto Parts, Tousley Ford, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Buffalo Wild Wings, Serenity Massage, Water Street Inn and Pizza Hut.
