Residents and business owners joined River Moon Coffee Roasting Co. owners Geoff and Juanita IkutaSchodde at an Aug. 6 Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony at River Moon’s café in the Stillwater Public Library.
River Moon is an artisan coffee roasting company founded in June 2011. River Moon uses high quality Arabica beans from small cooperative farming communities in all of their available varieties. The company roasts all of their coffee in downtown Stillwater and conducts the majority of business through their online store, http://shop.rivermooncoffee.com/products.
The IkutaSchoddes decided to expand their business and open a retail café space in the Stillwater library. The River Moon Coffee Café opened on Aug. 6 and in addition to gourmet coffee, offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and bakery items. What makes River Moon Coffee Café stand out from other coffee shops is relationship-based service, locally sourced offerings, breathtaking views of the St. Croix River from the library terrace and a business model that emphasizes community.
The café is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Friday through Sunday hours subject to change. Guests can visit the café during non-library hours from the Third Street entrance. The owners invite you to love them, like them and follow them via River Moon’s website, Facebook or Twitter to stay informed about hours, special deals and announcements.
The River Moon Coffee Café is located on the terrace level of the Stillwater Public Library, 224 Third Street North. For information visit www.rivermooncoffee.com, call 651- 342-0460, or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
