Campfire programs continue with ‘Bump in the Night, Jump, Slither, Slide’ Aug. 25

Como Zoo presents a campfire program on “Bump in the Night” at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 25, at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve.

Who plays while people sleep? Discover the secrets of living life in the dark while exploring the world of nocturnal creatures.

Como Zoo also presents “Jump, Slither, Slide” at 7:15 p. m. Aug. 25, at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park. Meet a variety of reptile and amphibian ambassadors and discover some of the amazing adaptations these scaly and slimy animals possess. Learn why amphibians are called “environmental indicators” and how fingernails and snake scales are related.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve is at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10 one mile north of Interstate 94 in Lake Elmo. The program will be in the campground amphitheater. St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park is along the St. Croix River on County Road 21, between County Road 76 and County Road 78, in Denmark Township. The program will be in the campground amphitheater.
