The Planning Commission is as the city’s planning agency. It conducts public hearings on applications for special use permits, conditional use permits, variances to the zoning ordinance, subdivision and other areas that are covered by the city’s zoning ordinance. The nine-member panel meets the second Monday of each month. Commission members serve a three-year term.
Criteria for evaluation includes, but are not limited to: personal and professional experience relating to the subject area of the board; knowledge of the community and city government, and experience from similar appointments. Application deadline is Dec. 31.
