1. Notice is hereby given, that Independent School District 834, Stillwater, MN, will receive written proposals from insurance agents/brokers to provide professional services for a minimum of three years beginning in August, 2012. Agencies are encouraged to submit one (1) proposal for consideration.

2. The written proposal will be evaluated based on the following criteria (not necessarily in order of importance):
a) Expertise and experience in providing insurance brokerage services with Minnesota public school districts
b) Qualifications of Personnel in the area of property and casualty insurance
c) References from public sector entities and clients which are comparable to the District
d) Ability to respond efficiently to requests for services
e) Quality of the broker’s proposal including RFP for insurance, responsiveness and adequacy of information provided
f) Support services available (loss control, claims, claim reports)
g) Fee/payment structure to service this account
h) Interview responses if needed (Optional)

3. Written quotations must be received in the District Office, Independent School District 834, 1875 South Greeley Street, Stillwater, MN 55082, no later than August 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. School District representatives may conduct interviews with one or more service providers supplying a written proposal for purposes of evaluation, clarifying the submitted quotation, and negotiating terms.

4. Independent School District No. 834 is using the written quotation process, with an option for direct negotiation, authorized by Minnesota Statute 123B.52, for the procurement of this contract, and disclaims usage of any other contract procurement options allowed under applicable law.

5. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all written proposals and waive irregularities therein, and further reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest responsible service provider(s) that is most favorable, most advantageous, and in the best interest of Independent School District No. 834.
