Legion baseball: Post #48 tops River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Alex Haas and Cameron Harms combined to allow just four hits in seven innings as Stillwater knocked off River Falls 9-5 in Tuesday’s non-league Legion baseball game.

Seven different players drove in a run and Grant Moden finished with two hits and two stolen bases to lead Post #48 (6-7 League F, 11-12), which has won six of its last seven games. Andy Peterson, Wyatt Kurzejeski and David Olson each doubled for Stillwater while Nick Peterson, Dylan Clay and Scott Livermore added a hit apiece.

Stillwater’s balanced lineup also took advantage of nine walks and five stolen bases in as many attempts.

Haas struck out six while giving up four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings to get the win. Harms issued five walks but did not allow a base hit in two innings of relief.
