Fire contained to two-car garage, causes $5,000 in damage
No one was hurt in a structure fire last Thursday in Stillwater.
The SFD responded to a fire around 9:41 p.m. last Thursday on the 900 block of North Owens Street, according to a Stillwater Fire Department statement. Smoke and flames were visible and the house had been evacuated when fire crews arrived.
Upon arrive, firefighters saw the blaze coming from the two-car attached garage.
The fire was knocked down and prevented from spreading into the home’s living area and declared under control by 9:54 p.m. Additional agencies assisted with salvage and overhaul. All units cleared the scene by 10:41 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
