Stillwater native Justin Roth performs here Sunday

Singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist Justin Roth plays a CD release party for his new album, "Now You Know" Sunday.

Roth, a 1992 Stillwater High School graduate, is returning to his hometown this week for his 20-year high school reunion Saturday and will perform a rare, intimate "listening room" concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at The Loft @ Studio J, 214 S. Main St. in Stillwater. There is a suggested $10 donation.

Roth tours nationally, playing an inventive blend of acoustic indie folk. He was 17 when his path to acoustic music was solidified when he saw innovative guitarist Michael Hedges open for Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Roth has been a "new folk favorite" at the Kerrville Folk Festival and won the Indie Acoustic Project’s award for Best Song of 2005 for his song, "Shine."

Roth engineered, produced, played and sang every note on his latest CD, "Now You Know," which was released in May 2011. It has been voted as one of the Top 100 Folk Albums of 2011 by "Roots Music Report."
