A Somerset, Wis., man ended his 21st birthday party in Washington County Jail Tuesday.
Early Tuesday morning, Stillwater police officers saw two men being thrown out the back entrance of Rafters Bar. Tyler Jay Robinson – who had been celebrating his 21st birthday with his girlfriend – tried to run after the other man until his girlfriend held him back.
When the officers advised Robinson to go home with his girlfriend he became aggressive and yelled at the officers. According to the police report, Robinson then took an aggressive stance and seemed as if he was about to assault the officer.
Officers arrested Robinson for disorderly conduct and obstruction with force. He was booked in the county jail. A subsequent blood-alcohol test showed Robinson had a BAC of .179.
Man charged after argument over game
A Stillwater man assaulted his girlfriend Monday after the woman told him he could not play his Xbox.
According to a Stillwater Police report, the 27-yuear-old woman returned home from work Monday night and wanted to watch television with her children while she folded laundry. The couple began arguing because the boyfriend, 29, wanted to play his Xbox instead.
As the argument escalated the boyfriend allegedly grabbed the woman by her neck and pushed her onto the couch before leaving the residence, according to the report.
Officers located the suspect walking in the cul de sac near the residence and arrested him for fifth degree domestic assault, the report stated.
The man admitted to officers that he pushed his girlfriend, but said it was in self-defense since she had thrown the Xbox at him.
The report said the woman denied throwing the Xbox and said her boyfriend had hidden the Xbox after their argument so that she wouldn’t damage it.
The man was booked in Washington County Jail and cited for fifth-degree assault.
