Local business owners joined BrightStar of St. Croix Valley owner Sini Ross and her staff for a May 24 ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce at the business’ new Lake Elmo location.
BrightStar started in 2002 as a family business and has grown to more than 250 locations worldwide. The organization provides the full continuum of homecare, (including adult and elder care) childcare (including newborn care, babysitter and nanny services) in addition to medical staffing services for individuals, families and healthcare facilities. In April, BrightStar moved to Lake Elmo from Burnsville.
Coming from an interesting and varied professional background, BrightStar owner Sini Stjernsward Ross opened the business after experiencing the benefits of Home Health Care while her husband’s family cared for her mother-in-law, Nancy.
Nancy did not thrive in an assisted living setting and wanted to be at home during her last years and remain close to her family, friends and her puppy. Home Health Care provided that in-home medical and non-medical care to make Nancy’s wish possible. Nancy experience was the inspiration for investing in BrightStar and her legacy lives through the clients we serve.
