HUDSON, Wis. – A Lake Elmo man died Monday morning after he crashed his motorcycle in western Wisconsin.
The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office responded to the one-vehicle crash on CTH A about one-fourth mile north on CTH G in the Town of Richmond, Wis. This was the third fatality of the year in Wisconsin.
Scott Joseph Garavalia, 39, was driving his Kawasaki motorcycle north on CTH A. when the motorcycle apparently left the roadway, entered the east ditch and overturned. Garavalia was ejected from the motorcycle and he landed in a field. The motorcycle also landed in the field.
The St. Croix County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Garavalia dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet during the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the crash or about Garavalia’s whereabouts before the crash to contract SCCSO Investigator Brent Standaert at 715-381-4390.
