ID of body found in river Saturday released


The identity of a White Bear Lake man who died in an apparent boating accident on the St. Croix River over the weekend was released Monday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The body of 46-year-old Ronald Bringgold, was found by county Fire Dive Team members in the river about 100 yards from his boat Saturday near the Bayport Marina.

WCSO deputies, the county Fire Dive team and Bayport Police officers were called to the Bayport Marina shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, to investigate an unattended boat turning in circles.

Sheriff’s deputies secured the boat and Bringgold’s body was found a short time later.

Bringgold’s death remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriffs and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s offices.
