Francis E. "Brick" Brown, born on Nov. 15, 1917, in Taconite, Minn., passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 2, 2012.
Francis was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He served his country as a B-26 bomber pilot with the 397th Bomber Group and was a World War II veteran.
As a long resident of Stillwater, Francis held the position of industrial arts teacher at Stillwater Junior High School for 31 years and coached the Stillwater Boys hockey team. An avid hunter and fisherman, Francis was a lifetime member of the Hudson Rod and Gun Club.
Francis was laid to rest in a private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on April 6, 2012. Memorials are preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
